“If you’re going through hell, keep going!”

The moment you start to move toward your goals and self-improvements, you will be scrutinized by those that are frustrated with their own lives. When you chose to stop sleeping through your life, you’ll threaten those that are snoring through their lives. Often the people you are closest to will be your worst critiques.
Each time you start to talk about your new ideas, business, fitness, goals or plans, you’ll feel the criticism in forms as minute as a chortle or eye-roll. It wears on you, but now that you know it’s coming, plan for it. Practice your sales pitch with a few pre-planned responses.
- Things are going great, why do you ask?
- Not everything is roses but I’m working in the garden.
- I’m excited about the new things I’m learning, thank you for asking.
When times get rough (which they will) and everyone questions your sanity, stay the fight. There will come a moment where you will hit a rhythm, or a pace and you’ll look into the face of success and recognize your own destiny and greatness!
I keep a magnet on my office wall that says: “Work as if success is eminent.” Try keeping a musical play list of motivational music. I love “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten.
